On November 1st, Program of High-end Foreign Experts 2016 by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs was conducted successfully by HNU Tourism Collage. Karine, associate professor of architecture in Griffith University，visited HNU and gave a wonderful lecture on the topic of Photovoice: a participatory action researchstrategy.
Professor Kanine’s lecture was centred on six aspects, including the definition of Photovoice; the methods ofoperating Photovoice; the application of Photovoice in social research; the limitation of Photovoice; sharing and conclusion of related programs. PhotoVoice strategy consists of five steps, namely, photographing, writing, discussing, analyzing data and presenting photos. Professor Kanine shared the experience with students on how to utilize Photovoice doing research based on his past field studies in China. He also introduced in what ways climate change affect the motivation and behavior of tourists. Besides, Professor answered questions raised by students, such as how to eliminate the impact of environment on the psychology of the subjects and whether it is necessary to present photos.
On October 31st, Professor Karine conducted a field study on theinfluence on local people after tourism developed by using Photovoice in Ouyang Xun Culture Park of Shutang Mountain and Tongguan Kiln Relic Park.

Karine, associate professor of architecture of Griffith University in Australia, member of Griffith Institutefor Tourism, program director of the Bachelor of Architectural Design, was the associate professor and the head of Architectural Development at StrasbourgNational Institute of Applied Sciences. She published 7 books, above 10 journal articles and many conference papers from2014 to 2015. She has been participating in international symposia and leading many projects. Currentlyshe is in charge of the Urban Tourism Planning in Griffith University. Hermajor research expertise are Chinese tourism and cities,urban development and sustainability colonial architecture and urban forms.
