From July 2nd to 4th, Vice President of HNU and Professor Ouyang Xiao was invited to attend the International Schumpeter Society Conference held by Seoul National University in South Korea. More than 300scholars presented the conference from Germany, France, the US, South Korea, China, etc., including experts from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and other universities of China. The issues on ISS’s innovation theory, innovation system, innovation policy, digital economy, innovation management, patent and intellectual property right were under a heat discussion. Lecturer Jiawu Dai from Business School of HNU read his paper at the conference.    

After the conference, the International Schumpeter Society (ISS) convened the executive committee meeting, on which Professor Ouyang Xiao was elected as the 19th President and Professor Chen Jin from Tsinghua University as the executive commissioner of ISS.  

ISS, established in Germany in 1986,is the most world influential academic organization on innovation research which aimed to study master Schumpeter’s thoughts and theories of innovation development and organization. Journal of Evolutionary Economics (SSCI),the bulletin of ISS. produced in1991, has become one of the authoritative journals on innovation economics in the world.
