From November 25th to December 3rd, Li Min, Secretary of the CPC HNU Committee, led a delegation to visit Stellenbosch University in South Africa and University of Zambia on invitation.
From November 27thto 28th, the delegation paid a visit to Stellenbosch University and held talks andmeetings with HESTER KLOPPER—Vice President of Stellenbosch University, and ROBERTKOTZE—Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Theydiscussed the teacher-student exchange programs especially short-term winterand summer program, "the Belt and Road" scholarship program(to fund and encourage international students to study in China), scientific research, and the operation of the Confucious Institute. Then the two parties signed the operation agreement. Later, the delegation visited its campus, inspected the construction and operation of Confucious Institute and was invited to take part in the Open Day activities of the Confucious Institute. Then they met with the delegation led by Zuo Zhongyi—Vice President of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles(CFLAC) and attended the academic lecture and appreciated the konghou (a Chinese ancient plucked string instrument) performance given by the world’schief Konghou player Cui Junzhi in the Confucious Institute.
On December 1st,the delegation visited University of Zambia. ENALAT.MWASE, Executive President of University of Zambia, met with the delegation and presided over a talks, in which the two parties discussed issues such as "the Belt and Road"scholarship program(to fund and encourage international students to study in China), the internship opportunities in University of Zambia for international students of clinical medicine in HNU, the construction and operation of the Confucious Institute, and the postgraduates cultivation program together with University of Zambia. The two parties signed a framework cooperation agreement after the talks. University of Zambia arranged for the delegation to visit the campus,the Confucious Institute, the campus clinic and its affiliated teaching hospitals. A talks was held between the delegation and relevant persons in charge of the hospital.

Profile of Stellenbosch University: Established in 1866, Stellenbosch University is one of the oldest universities in South Africa. After more than a century’s development, its quality of education and academic research has ranked forefront in Africa and even in the world. Stellenbosch University consists of five campuses （Stellenbosch, Tygerberg, Bellville Park，Saldanha and Worcester）and ten schools. It has about 3,000 staff and around 29,000 students, 4,000 of whom were international students. In 2009, Stellenbosch University jointly established an Confucious Institute with Xiamen University.
Profile of University of Zambia: Established in 1966, University of Zambia, as a comprehensive university, is the top university in Zambia. University of Zambia consists of two campuses (Great East Road, Ridgeway) and nine schools, namely School of Agriculture, School of Education , School of Engineering, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Mines, School of Natural Sciences, and School of Veterinary Medicine. Besides, it has established institutes like Institute of Re-education, Institute of Literature, Institute of Education, Institute for Agricultural Development, Institute of African Studies, Institute of Human Relations, and Kafue Basin Research Project. There are 50 professional departments in University of Zambia. The length of schooling varies from 4 years to 7 years. Students of the university will be taught in English. In 2010, a Confucious Institute was jointly established with Hebei University of Economics and Business and University of Zambia.
