Mar. 28 2018 a delegation from University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) led by vice president Tim Steele visited HNU. Li Dazhi, vice president of HNU warmly welcomed the delegation in the No.2 meeting room ofpresident’s office building. Tang Jianwen, director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, hosted the meeting.
Mar.6 2018 the delegation, including Germain Rousseau, co-director of International Office of Université de Tours François Rabelais, Alain Koeng, director of Student French Teaching Center, and Hans Stopka,representative of Region Centre of France in Hunan province paid a visit to HNU. Li Dazhi,vice president of HNU met with them.
Jan.10 2018 the Czech Educational Delegation visited HNU. Li Dazhi, Vice President of HNU, met with the guests at the International Exchange and Cooperation and gave them a warm reception. The meeting was chaired by Li Miao, Vice Director of International Exchange and Cooperation at HNU.
Dec. 29 2017 the 2018 New Year's Gala for International Teachers and Students was held at the Student Activity Center in Lide Building. Vice President of HNU, Li Dazhi presented and addressed at the Gala. Vice Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Tang Cunzhong hosted the opening ceremony.
Dec.11-13 2017the Twelfth Confucius Conference was held in Xi’an city, with its theme being “Deepening Cooperation, Developing through Innovation, Working Together to Build a Community of Shared Future for Mankind”. Liu Yandong, vice premier of the State Council and President of the Council of the Confucius Institute Headquarters,attended the opening ceremony and presented awards to globally advanced Confucius Institutes. The opening ceremony was presided over by Chen Baosheng, Minister of Education and Vice President of the Council of the Confucius Institute Headquarters. Jiang Hongxin, president of HNU, was invited to the conference.
Nov.25-Dec. 3 2017Li Min, Secretary of the CPC HNU Committee, led a delegation to visit Stellenbosch University in South Africa and University of Zambia on invitation.
Nov.29 2017the delegation led by Shen Tingzhu, director of Yishan Education Supporting Department in Korea, and Chen Mingshu, Chinese dean of the Confucius Institute at Wonkwang University, visited Hunan Normal University. Tang Xianqing, secretary of HNU for discipline inspection, warmly welcomed the guests in the meeting room of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Li Miao, vice director of International Exchange and Cooperation, presided over the welcome ceremony.
Nov.24 2017co-hosted by the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation as well as the International College of Chinese Language and Culture, the 9th. World Culture Day was held at the basketball court of Mulan Road in HNU. President Jiang Hongxin, vice president Li Dazhi, foreign students from over 40 countries including Russia, Thailand, Pakistan, Laos, South Korea and Japan, as well as representatives of teachers and students in China participated in the event.
Nov.22 2017 Professor Colin Patrick Mackerras, the Honorary Director of Tourism Confucius Institute at Griffith University, visited HNU and delivered a lecture on “Western Perspectives on China Since 2012” to teachers and students at the College of Tourism.
Nov. 7 2017Huang Yage, executive director of SUU Confucious Institute, Kevin Garrett, associate superintendent of Irony County School District, Jannette Stubbs and other members of the delegation paid a visit to HNU. Ma Zongbao, vice president of HNU received the delegation at the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
