Opening Ceremony of Summer Camp of Confucius Institute at Kazan Federal University

In the morning of June 10th, 2017, the opening ceremony of “Tour to Hunan, China”, a Chinese culture summer camp from Confucius Institute at Kazan Federal University was held in Hunan Normal University. The ceremony, attended by Jiang Xinmiao, vice president of HUNNU, was presided over by Li Miao, vice director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.

   

Jiang extended his warm welcome to teachers and students from Confucius Institute at KFU. He said it had been ten years since the establishment of Confucius Institute at KFU and the friendship between both universities was getting firmer. As Russia was one of the closest partners of China and a frontier hub in the Belt and Road Initiative, according to Jiang, both countries had learned the civilization of each other constantly. He indicated that friendly exchanges between Chinese and Russian youth provided possibility for better communication and understanding and also created great potential for new development in China-Russia relationship; and the two-week summer camp would enableparticipantsto have a newerand more in-depth understanding of Chinese culture. And the vice president also wished all participants a fruitful tour in Changsha and the activity a complete success.   

   

Li Lanyi, Chinese dean of Confucius Institute at KFU, briefed on the achievements of the Institute, and hoped the students could have a good time here.

   

Anna Angiebova, on behalf of all participants, showed sincere gratitude to both HUNNU and the Confucius Institute.

   

Jiang Xinmiao endowed participants with the camp flag.

   

The opening ceremony was also attended by teacher representatives and people in charge from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and International College of Chinese Language and Culture of HUNNU.

   

It was reported that the summer camp would last for two weeks, during which a number of cultural- and Chinese-learning activities would be held in Changsha and Beijing.
