From March 27 to 28, the Second China-MexicoUniversity Presidents Forum convened in Beijing. The forum was hosted by Ministry of Education of China and Mexico Public Education Ministry and co-organized by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and Association of Higher Education of Mexico. Vice Dean of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Li Hai, Secretary General of CEAIE, Sheng Jianxue, Envoy of Mexico Embassy in China, Enrique Escorza, and Secretary General of Association of Higher Education of Mexico, Jaime Valls Esponda gave speeches at the opening ceremony. Jiang Xinmiao, vice president of HNU, also attended the forum.

Under the theme of Building Innovative Nation and Modern Universities and topics of cooperation and exchanges, Chinese and Mexican delegates had in-depth discussion to explore new possibility ofexpanding communication and cooperation between Chinese and Mexican universities.

During the forum, Jiang Xinmiao met President Itzcoatl Tonatiuh Bravo Padilla and Vice President Carlos Ivan Moreno Arellano from University of Guadalajara, a friendly university of HNU. Both sides shared opinions about current and future cooperation.Vice President Jiang also exchanged ideas with delegates from NationalAutonomous University of Mexico, Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, University of Colima, Autonomous University of Nuevo León and other universities.

Director of International Exchange and Cooperation of UNU, Tang Jianwen accompanied with Vice president Jiang to the forum. Present were 101 delegates from 49 universities and related agencies of China and Mexico.
